DotPerformance has its own film crew to support the brands we make and look after. We shoot in our studio and on location across the Isle of Man: brand films, founder stories, adverts, documentaries, event highlights and social cuts. We also crew and equip visiting productions on the Island.

Andy directs: the story, the script and the shape of the film. He also flies the aerials, licensed as a drone and FPV pilot in the Isle of Man, the UK and Europe.

Ella plans the cuts before the shoot, the film, the advert, the reels and the posts, designs the artwork that goes with them, and takes the finished films to your channels.

05The studio
Interviews, green screen and sound, without hiring a space. Built sets, controlled light and isolated sound at 94 Woodbourne Road, Douglas, set up so a series filmed months apart still cuts together. The same crew and kit travel to you.

07Visiting productions
Bringing a production to the Island? We’re the local crew productions call. Kit hire is the most asked-for: cinema cameras, FPV, car mount, lighting and sound already on the Island, so it doesn’t have to come over on the boat. Then crew and studio, recce and locations, and licensed aerial and FPV pilots, from a team that knows the Island and its permissions. We’ve supported Limehouse TV, Eyeforce, Frisson Creative and Chimp Productions.

What is a brand film?
A brand film is a short cinematic film that tells the story of an organisation, its people or its values, rather than documenting what it does. DotPerformance makes brand films from £3,000, scripted, shot and edited by our own crew on the Isle of Man.
How much does video production cost on the Isle of Man?
DotPerformance’s interview films and podcasts start from £1,200, event highlights films and multi-reel packages from £2,000, brand films and adverts from £3,000, and documentaries from £750 per polished minute, all filmed and edited by our own crew. Aerial filming starts from £600 and FPV from £900. Crew and kit for visiting productions are priced on application, and every film gets a written price first.
How long does a film take to make?
A single-day shoot with standard editing usually takes two to three weeks from DotPerformance. A brand film typically takes around four weeks, including the script, the shoot and the edit.
Does DotPerformance have a film studio on the Isle of Man?
Yes. DotPerformance has its own studio in Douglas, used for all film needs, including interviews, products, green screen and controlled filming, alongside location shoots across the Island.
How big is DotPerformance’s film crew?
Five in-house. Andy Orton directs and flies the aerials, Ella Garvey plans the cuts and takes them to your channels, Will Oates and Nico van Loggerenberg film, and Juan Readshaw runs the production. Nobody is subcontracted.
Does DotPerformance work with visiting productions?
Yes. DotPerformance provides crew, kit, studio, recce, locations, sound, lighting and aerial filming for productions of any size coming to the Isle of Man. Cinema cameras, FPV drones, car mounts, lighting and sound can be hired with or without the crew.
Can we use a DotPerformance film on social media?
Yes. DotPerformance plans every shoot for every cut it needs: the film, the advert, the reels and the stills, each sized for its channel.
