Behind the Scenes

FPV Cinelifter Deployed for Screen Isle of Man.

We have been working with Screen Isle of Man to help promote the Isle of Man’s film sector and to demonstrate the breadth of capability the island offers. Screen Isle of Man acts as a central hub for film and media production on the island, offering world-class locations, skilled crews, and tailored production resources to support filmmakers.

Working closely with Dave Armstrong and a collective of local talent, over the last two years we have provided crew, equipment and support to bring several cinematic visions to life.

In this particular shoot, Andy piloted an FPV Cinelifter carrying a modified Blackmagic 6K Cinema Camera, capturing dynamic car-chase footage at speeds exceeding 80 mph, delivering a cinematic quality often associated with high-end Hollywood productions. We also rigged a car with a Z-cam M4 to support additional coverage. Behind-the-scenes photography was handled by Nico, capturing the atmosphere, effort and teamwork that went into the production.

Our collaboration with Screen Isle of Man not only showcases what can be achieved technically and creatively on the island but also contributes to the growing motion picture and media industry here. With a reputation built since the mid-1990s, including over 100 feature film and television productions filmed on the Isle of Man through partnerships with agencies such as the former Isle of Man Film, the island offers a film friendly environment with strong infrastructure, experienced crews and a wealth of versatile locations.

By combining cutting-edge gear, skilled local professionals and the island’s unique character, this shoot illustrates how compelling, high-quality storytelling can be achieved on the Isle of Man, helping to reinforce its place as a capable destination for ambitious film projects.
