FPV flythrough - Gaiety Theatre

Flying through the Gaiety Theatre

A theatre built in 1900. A drone the size of your hand. One continuous shot. The Gaiety Theatre does not allow conventional cameras into the auditorium during performances. When Manx Operatic Society wanted to capture its production of Annie Get Your Gun, FPV gave us a way to move through the space without interrupting the performance or the building itself.

Why this works. First Person View drones are small, light and agile. They can move through spaces that larger camera setups cannot, making them well suited to theatres, heritage buildings and live environments where access is limited.

Built for spaces that do not let you in. For the Gaiety, that meant capturing the auditorium, stage and atmosphere in a single flowing pass. The result is a perspective that would have been difficult to achieve any other way.
