Isle of Man TT Races Rebrand by dot performance

TT fortnight. The island's population doubles. Fans arrive from every corner of the world. And before any of them boards a ferry or books a flight, they've been to iomttraces.com. For news, for schedules, for riders, for tickets. The website is the first point of contact for an event that draws a global audience.

When tens of thousands of people hit the same pages at the same moment, the infrastructure either holds or it doesn't. There is no middle ground at this scale.

A relationship built over years

DotPerformance has supported the Isle of Man TT across its digital ecosystem for over four years. The work spans the full iomttraces.com website, auto-scaling infrastructure for peak traffic, the official live timing system, and support around live streaming delivery.

This isn't a project with a start and end date. It's an ongoing operational partnership with one of the most recognised motorsport events in the world.

The website the TT deserves

iomttraces.com carries everything. News, race schedules, rider profiles, ticketing, the TT+ live pass, sponsor integrations with partners including Milwaukee and Monster Energy, and a content platform that keeps a global fanbase informed year-round, not just during the event.

In 2023 we carried the TT rebrand across the platform, improving the website experience to support richer content and clearer user journeys. The new design reflects the scale and prestige of the event. Fast to navigate, built for mobile, and structured so fans find what they need without friction, whether they're planning a trip or following the action from overseas.

Infrastructure built for the spike

The TT creates a traffic profile that most platforms never encounter. Demand is low for much of the year, then it spikes sharply and without warning as qualifying and race sessions go live. A conventional hosting environment would buckle.

The solution is auto-scaling infrastructure that responds to demand in real time, handling any volume regardless of where in the world the user is connecting from. The platform scales up when it needs to and back down when it doesn't. The event runs. The website stays up.

The same architecture underpins the official live timing system, serving thousands of concurrent users with real-time race data across every session.

What the partnership delivers

A global audience for one of motorsport's most demanding events, served reliably across every touchpoint. News and features that keep fans engaged through the year. Ticketing and live pass journeys that convert. Race week infrastructure that doesn't break under pressure.

The TT is extraordinary. The digital platform it runs on has to be as reliable as the roads it races on.

Four years. Every event. It holds.
