A sole trader in Peel wants to know if a subcontractor is accredited before they put them on a job. A homeowner in Ramsey is looking for a certified electrician. A developer is trying to understand what the industry body actually does and whether it's worth engaging with.

Three different people. Three different needs. One organisation that's supposed to serve all of them.

Before it had the right brand and platform behind it, it couldn't.

The gap between ambition and infrastructure

Construction Isle of Man was built around a clear idea: a single point of contact for everything the island's construction industry needs. Accreditation, certification, industry representation, public guidance. One place. One organisation.

The ambition was right. The infrastructure wasn't there yet.

The brand didn't communicate the authority the organisation was building. The website couldn't handle what the operation required. And the process for trade professionals to become accredited still ran on paper - slow, manual, and out of step with what a credible industry body should be offering in 2025.

The result was an organisation doing serious work with a presence that undersold it.

What we built

We worked with Construction Isle of Man to close the gap between what they were and what people saw.

Brand identity Built to carry the weight of an industry body. Clear, grounded, and specific to the Isle of Man's construction sector. Not a corporate rebrand. An identity that gives the organisation the authority it had already earned the right to project.

Website Rebuilt around the real needs of the people using it. Businesses looking for accredited trades. Professionals managing their own certifications. Members of the public trying to find reliable contractors. Clear pathways for each, without friction.

Digital accreditation platform The paper-based application process for trade professionals is gone. Accreditation, renewal, and certification management now runs entirely online. Professionals apply, track, and renew through a single system. The organisation manages it without the manual overhead that paper creates.

Everything designed to be run by the team themselves - not dependent on us to maintain it.

What changed

Construction Isle of Man now has a presence that matches its purpose. The brand communicates authority. The website serves every stakeholder without asking them to work for the information. And the accreditation system does what paper never could: it scales.

Trades on the island have a single, credible place to manage their professional standing. The public have a way to verify who they're hiring. The industry has a body that looks like one.

The case for getting this right

Every trade body, professional association, or industry organisation eventually faces the same question: does our external presence reflect what we actually do?

For Construction Isle of Man, the answer is now yes. The one-stop shop they set out to build exists. It works for businesses, for professionals, and for the public. And it will keep working as the organisation grows into it.
